Immigration

Immigration is the movement of people from their country of birth to settle in a new one as permanent residence or purposes of employment. However, immigration has affected many states since it has brought about a lot of issues that need to be tackled so that the country can move on well with its struggle to develop. If these issues are not taken into consideration, economies of these countries are going to be affected.

I decided to research on this topic since it is the one that has created a lot of concerns and has been one of the issues that are being talked of in the news headlines. Native states have faced challenges since they are losing great brains. People who move to other countries are the educated ones who are looking for greener pastures since their countries are not motivating them as they expect. Despite the fact that great brains are being lost, the state is also becoming underpopulated. A combined effort of a small number of people will not be able to support the growth of the country. On top of these those who remain in these countries are not well educated and will not be able to solve issues that could be dealt with by the educated. Tax collection will also be low and this will not be able to sustain developments.

Countries that these people are moving to will also have some problems. Since everyone is aiming at landing on such state, the nation will be overpopulated. When the carrying capacity of a state is exceeded, it will not be able to provide for them due to exploitation of resources hence many will engage in deals which will benefit them not caring whether other people will help or not. These activities include fraud and others of that sort (Brimelow, Peter, 1995).

When most of the individuals are engaging themselves in fraud, insecurity will be high. This is because this kind of people will include fights when one tries to defend the property. Most of the people will also fear to go to some parts of the country because they may be the main places where these crimes are being undertaken. Some of them will even form rebellious movements to bring down actions of the government. This will be after the state has not been able to provide for them hence they will think that the country is not ready to improve the conditions in which the citizens live. (Borjas, George, 2008).

The sources that I have found to use in my research include various articles and journals that explain much on the causes and impacts of immigration. I have also developed questionnaires in which I will use in collecting data from individuals who live in the countries that have been affected. I have also found some internet links where I will find some information that will prove whether what the people who will be questioned will be telling the truth or not. All these will give clear proof of what is going on when immigration is considered.

According to all this, I think immigration has caused a lot of problems in most countries. I think this should be ruled out to regain the peace that the states had before. To rule this out, immigration has to be restricted to people who have essential activities to undertake in other countries. However, this will avoid idlers who would have gone to other countries to cause disturbances.
