After reading this chapter, find a minimum of two additional articles that support the Least
Restrictive Environment (LRE) topic and write a double-spaced discussion paper following
guidelines posted below. Make sure to include the following in your paper:

● Your experiences with Least Restrictive Environment as a parent, educator, and/or
by-stander.

● Addressing the current issue
● Analyze what you see as the two sides of this issue.
● Identify a perceived misconception from either side. (When doing this, list the actual

sentence(s) or portion of the sentence, citing the page number that you are referring
to, then write your response as to why you think it is a misconception. The key word
is “perceived.”

● And finally, which side do you personally agree with more and why? (Refer to your
